The wedding of Lindsey and Tyler took place on August 15th 2015 at the majestic Castle Ladyhawke. The bride and groom were lucky enough to have a perfect day at the castle, with blue skies, mild weather, and gorgeous views into the evening as guests danced the night away with music by A Bride's DJ. Catering by Harrison's of Sylva, NC. Floral design by Ray's Floral, cake by Magda's Cakes, videography by West Mint Media, and hair/makeup by Phas3.
If you are a photographer in Asheville, at one time or another you have relied on the beauty of the UNC-A Botanical Gardens. Conveniently located in North Asheville, this natural setting provides photographic opportunities at every corner of its public space. The photo above presents itself as a serene off the beaten path location, but in reality, the male subject is actually blocking two kids playing in the creek, while cars buzz by just to the right of the creek.
Sonny Cell is a screenwriter and actor from Marshall, North Carolina. He has written several scripts for CSI and is hoping to be an extra during their filming in Louisiana. The "dirt" on his face is actually a mixture of coco powder and dust. Five weeks of beard growing and a couple of shots of Cuervo Gold completed the transformation.

I've been lucky enough to see Ween in Asheville multiple times over the years in different Venues as they grew in popularity. Since their break-up, Claude game to the Emerald Lounge with his group Amandala, and Gene came to the Orange Peel with his band. This past weekend, Dean followed suite and brought The Moist Boys to the Asheville Music Hall. He played classic tunes like Tears for Eddie, With My Own Bare Hands, Gabrielle, and It's Gonna Be a Long Night. It was an absolute honor to see legend such as Dean in such a small setting. Maybe a reunion tour could happen, but if not, I feel blessed to have been able to enjoy their live shows over the years.
Claxton Farm hosted an eccentric group for the wedding of Jesse Jones, and NC PhotoBox was there for its first outdoor gig. The lighting was constantly changing, but thanks to the high-powered Alien Bee Ring Flash, some of the images turned into contemporary art. A party for the ages! Photos of the fire-eaters coming soon!
Somehow I have managed to be a professional photographer for almost fifteen years and I have never worked a birthday party (for hire that is). Camryn's Sweet Sixteen was an affair not soon to be forgotten thanks to the design team of BobbyMark's Design. The Red Carpet created a high intense energy and NC PhotoBox was there to capture the action.
